[...] I’ve started sending out cards with all of my newly issued policies that are meant to be given to another person, whether the beneficiary, a member of the family or an attorney. Someone you trust should know about your life insurance and save your family from not knowing about it. We’ve all witnessed how shattered lives are when homes are burned and I can only imagine how hard it must be to put it back together from memory. Your homeowners insurance might put the house back together but things like life insurance can get lost, and forgotten in the aftermath. [...]

Like others I was told I can not recieve payment on Life Insurance. The reason they said it is because they said my wife did not pay her premium in October 2004 till the time of death which was March 2005.
We both had the same Insurance provider. We were able to deposit money to the Insurance company as a savings and when a payment wasn’t made the Insurance company would withdraw from the savings. This did not happen in her case and there was no letter sent indicating loss of Insurance beforehand. Is there anything that could be done in this case? I also still have the check they sent me for the savings that was accumulated.
Please help if possible or at least reply back.
    Thanks!

    Ed,

It seems you are well versed in Life Insurance and I am a novice who lost his wife of 30 years, almost five years ago. It was awful, especially when I tried to file her Life Insurance claim with Bankers Life and Casualty Company. They kept requesting the same thing, over and over and I sent it but they gave me the runaround while I was greiving and curled up in a fetal position. Is there anything I can do about it now? I filed the original claim, sent death certs, etc….then got letter saying they were closing the claim and I have health issues and have not pursed since. I can’t handle the stress. Is there any hope at all that these people will pay? If so HOW do I proceed? Do I need to lawyer up because I am on Disability myself….

    Thanks so much,

    Stu
